Lonely Planet listed Pun Hill as one of the must-see destination

The leading travel guide book, Lonely planet, recently featured ‘Pun Hill’ as top ten tourist destination in Nepal as part of their annual publication of best tourist destination in the world.
Selection of Pun Hill, the most scenic short trek destination in the foothills of Annapurna Himalayas, as one of the must-see tourist destinations have delighted local villagers and tourism entrepreneurs. 
Pun Hill at 3,210 m offers view of over a dozen of snow peaks including 3 of the 10 highest mountains in the world – Dhaulagiri-I (8,167 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m) and Manaslu (8,156 m). The hilltop view point is situated at Ghorepani village of Myagdi district. 
Thousands of foreigners and domestic trekkers reach Ghorepani each year to observe charisma of sunrise and sunset over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Hotelier Mr Teksar Budduja is hopeful of increased trekkers in the region as the listing in ‘Lonely Planet’ help the promotional campaign. “It is a mater of joy for us, and we hope this will contribute to tourist arrival in Ghorepani,” he said.

The Lonely Planet has also listed lower Mustang (Jomsom and Muktinath), located in the trans – Himalayan region, as must-visit destinations. 
In year 2017, the renowned guide book listed Nepal as the top five destinations to visit. Within Nepal, it has named Mugu's Rara lake, Khaptad National Park in the far-western region, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Ilam, Bardiya National Park (BNP), Langtang, Nawalparasi and Barpak, the epicentre of the massive 7.6 Richter scale earthquake of April, 2015, as must-see tourist destinations.
